HABITAT INFO
This brand new company specialises in the management and analysis of spatial data and works in the contest zone between development and conservation. We use GIS technologies to find geographic solutions for situations where the needs of the human environment conflict with the needs of the natural environment. We work locally to get the most out of biodiversity information to help guide forward planning in a developed environment; and we are active in the developing world of Africa, particularly southern Africa, where climate change and especially population growth are expected to increase pressure on both the human and natural environments.

We require immediate assistance with GIS analysis and data management for the following projects: climate vulnerability mapping for the Zambezi Basin; energy and climate change in the Zambezi Basin; health, disasters and climate change in Mozambique; species distribution mapping for the African continent; provision of support and enhanced services for biological records centres. This will be a two-year contract for a part-time position, increasing to full-time as project activity permits.
