GIS Consultant (Utilities) - Home Counties - £25-35k

My prestigious Consultancy Client is looking to appoint a GIS Consultant to join their Utilities business unit.

The ideal candidate will posses;

A working knowledge of the ESRI product portfolio
Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal
Ability to work as part of a team but with the creativeness and confidence to operate independently
A commercial understanding of the impact of technology with a vision for how GIS can enhance the effectiveness of the organisations within the utilities domain
An ability to capture business and technical requirements and recommend / demonstrate appropriate solutions
Able to communicate technical and business information to widely varied audiences from technical users to senior management
An understanding of the sales and presales process
A knowledge and interest in GIS and key industry trend

Preferable experience will also include;

A working knowledge of the utilities industry with particular reference to the electricity domain.
Confidence in developing custom solutions using my client's developer technology including the Web APIs.
Knowledge of contemporary web technologies and protocols e.g., XML, HTML,JavaScript/JSON, CSS
An ability to integrate new technology with 3rd party software to deliver business benefit

Experience

2 years experience of working in the GIS or Utility industry with an understanding of the current issues and key topics.
1 years experience of working in a customer facing role with experience of presenting technical topics and demonstrating software solutions
1 years experience of using and developing with ESRI based technology

When engaging with some clients it may be necessary to go through the security clearance process.
