GIS Web Developer
£29,206 to £32,552 per annum
You will join our environmental informatics team of the University’s National Soil Resources Institute (NSRI) to contribute to the management and application of spatial environmental information.
Educated to appropriate Masters level, you will have sound experience with GIS and programming languages, and will have a record in developing environmental software applications, with online mapping. You will have experience with databases and be well conversant with SQL, Action Script, Java, ColdFusion and VB.NET. You will have evident team-working, presentation skills and English writing ability, and ideally have client management experience.
NSRI is the UK National Reference Centre for Soil and holds national and international data sets and soil information resources. We have a strong track record in applied soil information systems development and research, having strong links with international leaders in the field. We offer a number of widely-consulted means of accessing our unique soil-related datasets for England and Wales.
